Eros
Lewis distinguishes between sexuality (what he calls Venus) and Eros love. Eros love usually, but not necessarily involves Venus. He thinks that Venus is taken way to seriously and what is needed is a "roar of old-fashioned laughter."
While Eros can be a wonderful thing, it can also become demoniac and degenerate into idol worship. "Being in love" can turn into a sort of religion.
