The prophets called Israel to repent—literally to turn around and walk 180º in the other direction. We are called to repent as well.
JESUS AND THE UNDESERVED CROSS. Jesus was like the innocent lamb led to slaughter. And, it appeared that his mission was over, surely a huge disappointment to his followers. Yet, his resurrection meant it isn't over. The ross is not only a redemptive place for us, it is also a solitary place for us.
THE LAMB AND HIS LAMBS. We face the choice of following our way, or following Jesus' way which means taking up the cross and we will die (figuratively).
