4.1. Peacemaking in the Early Church

The early history of the church and how it related to the empire. The beginnings of living in harmony with the Roman empire which demanded total allegiance to Caesar as lord.

Early Christian Involvement in Violence. The consensus opinion seems to have been that Christian in evolvement in military service and war were prohibited to the Christian. Because the world is a violent one, military service is not inherently bad, but the example of Jesus was non-retaliation. Hence military service was not for the Christian. <This seem to be bad logic.>
