"Ignoring Eternity is foolish. Living in light of eternity is wisdom.
JESUS BELIEVED IN HELL. Jesus clearly believed there was life after death and also "death after death." Since the kingdom is all about establishing justice, there has to be some kind of "death after death." But, it is difficult to put names to the issue of who is in and who is out. God is the final judge, and we are told to not judge.
PROBLEMS WITH HELL. "…one cannot justly, and I emphasize 'justly' be punished eternally for temporal sins." "…hell is a person's awareness of being utterly absent, which is what 'death after death' means, but yet in the presence of God…"
JESUS BELIEVED IN THE NEW HEAVEN ND THE NEW EARTH. Jesus taught that the eternal state is the perfection of life on earth and not an escape from life on earth. "…heaven is a person's awareness and overwhelming delight in being absolutely present in the utter presence of God."
