The implications of and the dangers of a free trade or global economy. Berry claims that communism and capitalism are not much different in that they put good for everyone as a goal with that goal being obtained in the future with not much concern about what it takes in the present.
The only way a person can protect themselves from the total economy is to develop and put into practice the idea of a local economy. The means embracing the concepts of neighborhood and subsistence.
